In 2010, Bonnier purchased Popular Photography, American Photo and Sound+Vision magazines and folded them into the same group that produced Popular Science in New York. The websites for these brands came to us with talented editors shackled to seriously outdated technology, so I was soon tasked with fixing that problem.

In early 2011, working with designer Doug Parker and PopPhoto web editor (and keeper of New York State's finest beard) Stan Horaczek, we gave PopPhoto a complete overhaul, tuning the homepage for more frequent daily news updates and adding a Buying Guide to make reviews of cameras and stat comparisons easy to browse. Under Stan's editorial helm, the new site saw monthly unique visitors rise 53% year-over-year since the redesign.
